🛡️ Zero tolerance 🚨 In-app reporting ⛔ Automatic blocking ⚖️ Legal compliance 🌍 Global scope

Postals maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) within the app. This document describes our published standards, the reporting mechanism available inside the app, and the actions we take to protect minors, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.

1. Our commitment

Child safety is a non-negotiable priority for Postals. We do not allow, tolerate, or facilitate any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or harms a minor, regardless of the stated intent of the person posting it.

This commitment applies to all user-generated content, direct messages, profiles, usernames, images, videos, and any other feature of the app.

🛑

Zero tolerance: any account that posts, solicits, distributes, or facilitates this type of content is permanently removed as soon as it is detected.

2. What CSAE is

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) covers any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor. This includes, among other conduct, attempts to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes ("grooming"), sexual coercion or blackmail of a minor, and trafficking of minors for sexual purposes.

This category also strictly prohibits child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any visual depiction — photographs, videos, or computer-generated images — showing a minor in a sexually explicit context. This material is illegal, and its presence is addressed immediately.

🚫
CSAM
Any visual depiction of a minor in a sexually explicit context, with no exceptions.
🕵️
Grooming
Attempts to build trust or closeness with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
💰
Sextortion
Threats or blackmail directed at a minor involving sexual content.
🔗
Trafficking
Using the platform to facilitate the sexual exploitation or trafficking of minors.

3. Prohibited content & conduct

In addition to what is described above, Postals explicitly prohibits:

  • Posting, sharing, or requesting images or videos that sexualize a minor
  • Contacting a minor with sexual intent or to arrange a meeting for that purpose
  • Sharing links, references, or information that direct users to CSAE content outside the app
  • Using accounts that impersonate minors for purposes of sexual exploitation
  • Any form of harassment, coercion, or manipulation directed at a minor
  • Facilitating, promoting, or normalizing child sexual exploitation in any way
⚠️

Applies to all users: these rules apply regardless of the stated age of the account posting the content or of the reported user.

4. How to report content in the app

Postals provides a reporting mechanism available directly inside the app, with no need to leave it. Any user can flag a post, message, story, or profile they believe violates these standards.

  1. Tap "Report"
Available in the options menu of any post, message, story, or profile.
  2. Choose the reason
Select the "Child sexual abuse or exploitation" category so the report is prioritized.
  3. Immediate automatic blocking
Content reported under this category is automatically hidden and blocked while under review, without waiting for a prior manual review.
  4. Team review
The content and the involved account go through review to confirm the violation and apply further action.
🔔

Accessible reporting: the report option is always visible within the app; there is no need to leave Postals or use external channels to flag prohibited content.

5. What happens after a report

When a CSAE-related report is received, Postals acts immediately and in line with its published standards and applicable laws:

  • The flagged content is automatically blocked and is no longer visible to other users
  • The involved account may be suspended or permanently removed
  • Material identified as CSAM is removed from our systems as soon as it is confirmed
  • Where legally required, evidence is preserved and we cooperate with the relevant authorities
✅

Action in line with the law: Postals acts according to its published policies and the child safety laws applicable in each jurisdiction where it operates.

6. Legal compliance

Postals complies with applicable child safety laws and with the requirements of the app stores where it is distributed, including Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.

Our practices are also aligned with international industry standards, including best practices for combating online child sexual exploitation and abuse promoted by the Tech Coalition.

8. Additional resources

If you encounter child sexual abuse content on any platform, in addition to reporting it within the app you can also reach out to specialized organizations:

  • NCMEC (CyberTipline): a U.S.-based organization dedicated to reporting online child exploitation
  • Local authorities: law enforcement in your country also accepts this type of report
  • Tech Coalition: an industry reference for best practices against CSAE

These standards are reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect changes in the law or in app store policies.
